ProgramWhat are the benefits of this program for me, as a member of a partner organization? The Oracle PartnerNetwork provides the individual access to benefits that help you sell, develop or implement Oracle based solutions. If your company is a member of OPN, you have unlimited access to training, sales and marketing resources, development tools and software, implementation guides and much more. What is an OPN Certified Specialist, and what value would it bring me to become one?
An Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) Certified Specialist is an individual who works for an OPN member company and who has obtained one of the Oracle Certifications that qualifies for an OPN Certified Specialist designation. As on OPN Certified Specialist you are more credible in the marketplace and can position yourself to your customers or employer to win more business and opportunities that non-specialists may miss out on. Being a specialist also contributes to getting your company a higher level of specialization in the OPN program.I'm confused! What is the difference in the Oracle Certified Specialist, OPN Certified Specialist, and the Partner Specialization? There are three new initiatives that have been released around Oracle PartnerNetwork and you may be getting confused about what is what and what applies to you. The explanation below will help you sort this out.
Oracle Certified Specialist (OCS): This is a new certification level released by the Oracle Certification Program. These certifications are foundation-level certifications that were developed in conjunction with the Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) but they are available to all candidates. In some cases, these certifications can be stepping stones for OCA, OCP or OCE certifications. The project list includes a variety of Oracle products, of which many do not have a corresponding certification available today. These certifications are ideal if (1) you work for an Oracle partner (or will be applying soon), (2) your company wants to become an Oracle partner, or (3) you wanted to become Oracle certified in an area that was previously unavailable for certification.
These are standalone certifications that are available to all candidates. Candidates will receive an Oracle Certified Specialist certificate as well as the Oracle Certified Specialist logo.
Partner Specialist Paths (also referred to as OPN Certified Specialist): This certification is granted to individuals. It is an add-on certification that is layered on top of an OCA, OCP, OCE or OCS level certification. This designation is available only to employees of Oracle Partners. Any certification on the Oracle Certification Program Website that is marked with the Oracle PartnerNetwork logo is eligible for this designation. You can view a list of all certifications that are eligible for this add-on designation on our website here.
In order to qualify for this designation, you must enter your Oracle Company ID into your profile at Pearson VUE. You can find instructions on how obtain this ID and how to create or update your profile at Pearson VUE on our website here.
This is not a standalone credential, it is reliant upon a candidate holding an Oracle Certification Program level certification in OCA, OCP, OCE or OCS. This credential is available only to employees of Oracle Partners.
Partner Specialization: OPN Specialization is a company-level designation that refers to Oracle PartnerNetwork member companies. In order for an OPN member company to become OPN Specialized, it must meet a set of global criteria. The criteria include employing a specific number of OPN Certified Specialists in specific Specialization areas.

Any Oracle Certified Professional credentials that qualify for the specialization will count towards your company's competency criteria of specialization, regardless of when you obtained the certification. You simply need to enter your OPN Company ID into your Pearson VUE account. How is the OPN Certified Specialist designation different from the OCA, OCP, OCE or OCS certification?
