Oracle Testing and Registration

Exam information
- All Oracle exams are either proctored or non-proctored:
- Proctored exams are considered high-stakes exams and are therefore only delivered with a proctor. These exams are offered at Pearson VUE testing centers and some Oracle University training locations.
- Non-proctored exams are available online without a proctor. These exams are thus a more accessible way to get started on a certification path. Non-proctored exams do not require preregistration or an appointment and are available on-demand 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- Beta exams are preproduction exams used by Oracle to evaluate new exam questions with the participation of a live audience.
What you need to register
- The number and title of the exam for which you are registering
- Any discount code. All discounts must be applied during registration. Post-exam refunds for discounts not applied at the time of exam registration are not allowed.
- Your Oracle Testing ID if you have completed at least one Oracle certification exam in the past.
Registering for an exam
- You may register for all Oracle certification exams with Pearson VUE

Registering for an exam at an Oracle Testing Center (OTC)
- Many Oracle University locations offer exams in addition to training.
- View testing events scheduled in your area and register for an exam. Not all countries offer testing in OTCs. If your country does not offer testing at an OTC faclity, you will be taken to a blank page and you will need to register for your exam at a Pearson VUE Authorized Test Center.
- Contact your local Oracle University representative if you need assistance registering for an exam at an OTC.
- The Oracle Testing Center exam cancellation policy is:
- Seven or more calendar days before the scheduled OTC event, customers may cancel or reschedule an OTC event as needed.
- From one to six calendar days before the scheduled OTC event, customers may reschedule an OTC event but may not cancel. No partial refunds are allowed.
- Please note that these guidelines are provided for informational purposes only and are subject to change. You must check with Oracle University directly to determine the cancellation policy in your region.
- Customers who do not appear for a scheduled exam forfeit the full exam fee. If the exam fee was paid with a voucher, the voucher number will be invalidated and unavailable for future use
- Beta exams are not offered through OTCs, they are only available through Pearson VUE Authorized Test Center.
Registering for non-proctored exam
- Non-proctored exams, are available online from your own location. They do not require a proctor, which means that you can take them at your convenience any time, anywhere. Pre-registration is not required. You register when you are ready to take the exam.
- Online exams are closed-book exams --- books, course materials and notes are not allowed. You should prepare for them fully and rely on your own mastery of the material. Candidates who take the online exams are subject to the Oracle Fraudulent Activity policy and must agree to the Oracle Candidate Agreement (presented at the beginning of the exam). You should never have someone take the exam for you. You should never test under a name other than your own, and/or test using more than one name or Oracle Testing ID.
