Oracle Solaris 11 Certification: Raising The Bar
Oracle Certification is raising the bar with new Oracle Solaris 11 certification credentials.

New and improved Oracle Solaris certifications for Oracle Solaris 11 are being released that emphasize more advanced skills that align better with industry standards and result in an even more valuable credential for you.

The Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) for Oracle Solaris 11 now has an all-new definition and focus, with certification objectives that measure not only your day-to-day system administration skills, but also your ability to manage the challenges you are likely to encounter in a variety of situations. The OCA Oracle Solaris 11 certification requires successfully completing a single exam (1Z0-821).

The Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) for Oracle Solaris 11 is a more advanced certification than ever before. It not only builds upon all of the competencies incorporated into our new OCA Oracle Solaris 11 certification, but also includes new advanced knowledge and skills required of top-performing system administrators. The OCP certification requires passing two exams - 1Z0-821 and 1Z0-822; and because 1Z0-821 is required for OCA certification, you will now also earn the new OCA certification while working on your OCP.

Oracle also offers several upgrade paths for those who hold Sun Certified System Administrator (SCSA) or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification on Oracle Solaris 10 or earlier. (see below).
