Training Formats

Oracle University courses are available in a variety of training formats to provide students with flexible learning options. In addition to courses taught in our classrooms worldwide, we offer live interactive courses online, self-paced learning, classes at your own site, and customized training.

Instructor-Led Training Classroom training is our most traditional learning format. It enables students to engage in face-to-face interaction with instructors and other students in a typical classroom setting. Oracle University education centers provide environments that promote effective in-class instruction as well as technically realistic laboratory exercises. From demonstrations to hands-on labs, classroom training provides a comprehensive yet personalized learning experience.		Live Virtual Class An online Live Virtual Class delivers training that is comparable to our traditional classroom courses--without the need for expensive travel. With the latest in collaborative technology, top-rated instructors, cutting-edge curriculum, and hands-on labs, we offer an exciting combination of traditional content and interactive online learning. This flexible option provides the freedom to learn anywhere and at any time. Â
Self-Study CD-ROM For training at your own pace, choose from a wide selection of individual courses available as Self-Study CD-ROMs (SSCDs). Our collection of titles cover Oracle products as well as related IT topics. Some SSCDs have the same content as Oracle University instructor-led courses—while other SSCDs offer specialized content. SSCDs are an ideal way to train if you cannot attend class or prefer to learn on your own. They are also a good solution for any large group that needs to address disparate learning styles, dramatically reduce training costs, and maximize each user’s learning experience.		Oracle University Knowledge Center The Oracle University Knowledge Center is the central access point to Oracle University’s vast library of e-learning content. Offerings cover all Oracle products and technologies and range from highly technical courses to end-user training. New courses are regularly added to the Knowledge Center, providing users with the information and training they need to master new products or to increase proficiency on earlier releases. And the Knowledge Center Passport—with access to the entire catalog for one year—is ideal for organizations with broad online course needs.
Private Events If you have a team of employees who need the same training and can train together, a private event enables you to keep travel to a minimum. Customized to your requirements, a private event is a targeted, flexible, efficient, and cost-effective approach to team training that can take place at your location or at an Oracle education center. Private events maximize the learning experience and suit the specific needs of implementation teams, IT departments, or other technology groups.
