Oracle Applications DBA Certified Professionals demonstrate the complete set of skills required for working independently as experts in this role. An Oracle Applications DBA assumes the role of a database administrator on Oracle9i Database or Oracle Database 10g, with a focus on E-Business 11i Applications. Certified Applications DBAs are able to effectively manage the overlying database applications, including file system management, installation, maintenance using AD utilities, patching and cloning. They are also proficient with the underlying database architecture and configuration, including managing the database instance, managing objects and storage structures, performing backup and recovery, monitoring, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
